Access and getting Started

Requesting project space

If your research project does not have a project space yet, request it first. A Yoda functional admin will create the project space and invite you as a Group Manager.

Inviting colleagues

Once a project space is created a user with the Group Manager role can invite colleagues and set their access rights.

Logging in

VU users can login straight away after being added, with their primary email address as username.

Newly added external users receive an invitation, after accepting they can login with their institutional account or EduID, with their primary e-mail address as username.

Working With Your Project Space

A project space is a data folder for storing and organising data during your project. It has a structured name: research-<faculty>-<department>-<project>.

Data Transfer

Depending on the Operating System you are using, different methods can be used to transfer data to and from your data folder.

Working with analysis tools

Although you cannot directly access the data in Yoda with analysis tools, there are several ways to work with your data.

Searching

You can easily search for your files in Yoda using the built-in search tool.

Archiving and Publishing

Yoda enables you to add metadata to describe and contextualise your dataset.

Once your research is complete, you can archive and publish it, so you can reference it with a DOI.
